Heritage Watch is pleased to invite businesses to become members of the Heritage Friendly Business Association. If you feel your business meets three of the criteria for membership we would be pleased to have you as a member.

In the competitive tourism market of Cambodia, membership in the Heritage Friendly Tourism Campaign will be a real advantage for your business. More than two-thirds of U.S. and Australian travelers, and 90% of British tourists, consider active support of local communities, to be part of a business' responsibility (CESD Report 2006). A survey by Heritage Watch indicates that 82% of visitors would go out of their way to patronize a Heritage Friendly Business. The program will urge visitors to Cambodia to patronize Heritage Friendly Businesses through advertising and promotion.

We hope you will consider becoming a member of the Heritage Friendly program and enjoy the benefits this unique opportunity presents.

Please note that certification is for a one year period only and businesses will be required to re- submit their application for successive years.

Businesses that meet five of the criteria are eligible for Gold Heritage Friendly Status and those that meet three of the criteria are eligible for Silver Heritage Friendly Status. Please note that involvement in the antiquities trade in any way excludes the possibility of membership.

Gold Status Members of the Heritage Friendly Campaign receive the following benefits;

  • Free* 1⁄4 page advertisement in two issues of Touchstone magazine.
  • A generous 15% discount on further advertising in Touchstone.
  • Highlighted listing (with business logo) in Touchstone magazine's H.F. businesses section.
  • Listing on city map (PP, REP, KS) in TouchStone magazine (shows location of H.F. businesses).
  • Prime position on the HeritageWatch website which had over 20,000 visits over the last year. Your positive impact on Cambodia will receive global attention.
  • Feature article in the HeritageWatch electronic newsletter with nearly 1000 subscribers in Cambodia and overseas.
  • Promotion through the Heritage Friendly Tourism Campaign as visitors to Cambodia will be encouraged to patronize Heritage Friendly Businesses above others.
  • Businesses may display the Heritage Friendly logo and use it in their advertising.
  • The positive benefit of being recognized as a socially responsible business by visitors to Cambodia

 

Silver Status Members of the Heritage Friendly Campaign receive the following benefits;

  • Free* standard 1/8 page advertisement in one issue of Touchstone magazine.
  • Prime listing in Touchstone magazine's H.F. businesses section.
  • A 10% discount on further advertising in Touchstone.
  • Listing on city map (PP, REP, KS) in TouchStone magazine (shows location of H.F. businesses).
  • Representation on the HeritageWatch website which had over 20,000 visits over the last year. Your positive impact on Cambodia will receive global attention.
  • Businesses may display the Heritage Friendly logo and use it in their advertising.
  • The positive benefit of being recognized as a socially responsible business by visitors to Cambodia

*Given to businesses that take a one-year advertisement in Touchstone magazine.
